Mississippi Medical Facilities

Millions of rides. One very human service.

Health systems and hospitals are increasingly searching for smarter ways to improve patient outcomes, increase value in the delivery of care and address social determinants of health (SDoH).

To drive better outcomes, every ride, meal and personal interaction matters.

Modivcare reduces the many anxieties patients associate with medical transportation. By improving ride quality, consistency and access, we’re not just there for patients, we’re there for the health systems dedicated to serving them.

Modivcare provides transportation for Medicaid Members throughout Mississippi. Members must be attending a covered medical service and have not alternative transportation.

An urgent trip is a trip needed for an unscheduled episodic situation in which there is no immediate threat to life or limb, but the Member must be seen on the day of the request and treatment cannot be delayed until the next day. This may include hospital discharges as well.

Yes, Modivcare can schedule recurring trips, eliminating the need to schedule each trip individually. To qualify for a reoccurring trip a visit needs to be schedule at least 1 time a week for 4 weeks on the same day and time.

If the return time for an appointment is not known at the time of the reservation, Modivcare will assign the return trip as a will-call trip. In this case, you will call Modivcare when the Member is ready for their ride home. We will dispatch the trip and the transportation provider will arrive within one hour. Call the Ride Assist line at 1-866-334-3794 to find out the status of a transportation provider’s estimated arrival time.

If you or a Member experiences an issue with NEMT, please visit Modivcare’s WeCare Facility website or file a complaint using our Member Complaints line at 1-866-381-4853.
